An artist profile on Beatmatch gives performers a public identity, separate from their personal account. Artist profiles are designed for DJs, musicians, and live acts who want fans to discover their music and see where they’re playing next.
This article explains what an artist profile is, when to create one, and how to set it up.
What Is an Artist?
An artist is a profile that represents a performer rather than an event series, group, or venue.
Artist profiles can be used to:
Create and host your own events under your stage name
Co-host events created by other organizers, communities, or venues
Show your upcoming and past gigs in one place
Share your songs with fans
Build a following around your stage name
Post updates and send text blasts to your followers
Let your team help manage the profile from their own Beatmatch accounts
When Should I Create an Artist Profile?
Creating an artist profile is a good idea if:
You perform as a DJ, musician, or live act
You want to promote your shows under a stage name
You play at multiple venues or events
You want fans to follow you as a performer rather than as an individual user
You want to ticket or co-host events as your artist
Before You Start
To create an artist profile, you need a Beatmatch account. If you aren’t logged in, you’ll be asked to sign up or log in before your artist profile is created.
How to Create an Artist
To create an artist profile:
Visit beatmatch.app and log in to your account
Open the Switch profile menu and select New creator profile
Under Choose your profile type, select Artist
Enter your artist’s details:
Image (required; select Upload an image to add a photo or logo)
Name (required, up to 50 characters)
Username (optional; it’s filled in from your artist name as you type, and you can change it). Your link will be beatmatch.app/@ followed by your username.
Description (required, up to 3,000 characters), such as your sound, style, and background
Genres and Tags (optional) to help the right people discover your artist profile
Review the preview of your artist profile, then select Create artist
You can also go straight to the New artist page.
Once created, you’ll see a confirmation that your artist is live, and you’ll be taken to your artist dashboard. Your artist profile will also appear as a profile you can switch into.
If the username you chose is already taken, you’ll see Username unavailable. Choose another username and try again.
After You Create Your Artist
From your artist dashboard, you can:
Get to know each tab. See Navigate Your Artist Dashboard.
Create an event as your artist, or get added as a co-host on someone else’s event. See Create an Event and Add Co-Hosts to an Event.
Add songs so fans can hear your music. See Add Songs to Your Artist Profile.

Use your official stage or performer name
Upload a clear photo or logo
Pick a short username so your link is easy to share
