A venue profile on Beatmatch represents a physical space, like a club, bar, lounge, or event hall, rather than an individual person or a group. Venue profiles help you manage your venue details, promote your space, and show fans what’s happening there.
This article explains what a venue is, when to create one, and how to set it up.
What Is a Venue?
A venue is a profile that represents a location where events take place.
Venue profiles can be used to:
Give your space its own public profile with a name, description, address, and image
Show the upcoming and past events at your venue in one place
Build a following of fans who want to keep up with your space
Let your staff help manage the venue from their own Beatmatch accounts
Fans can follow your venue and view its profile to see what’s coming up.
When Should I Create a Venue?
Creating a venue is a good idea if:
You own, operate, or manage a physical space where events happen
You want fans to find and follow your venue directly
Events take place at your space on a regular basis
More than one person helps run the space
If you host events at different locations under a brand or series name, a community may be a better fit.
How to Create a Venue
To create a venue on Beatmatch:
Visit beatmatch.app and log in to your account
Open the Switch profile menu and select New creator profile
Under Choose your profile type, select Venue
Enter your venue’s details:
Image (select Upload an image to add a photo or logo)
Name (required, up to 50 characters)
Username (required; a suggestion is filled in from your venue name, and you can change it to any available username)
Description (required, up to 3,000 characters), such as capacity, sound, layout, and the nights you host
Address (required; search by street address or venue name and select a result)
Genres and Tags (optional) to help the right people discover your venue
Review the preview of your venue profile, then select Create venue
You can also go straight to the New venue page. If you aren’t logged in, you’ll be asked to sign up or log in before your venue is created.
Once created, you’ll be taken to your venue’s management page, and your venue will appear as a profile you can switch into.
Managing Your Venue
From your venue’s management page, you can:
Follow a checklist of recommended next steps, like sharing your venue, setting up payouts, and inviting your team
View upcoming and past events at your venue in the Events tab
See who follows your venue in the Followers tab
Track performance in the Insights tab
Use View profile to see your public venue page, or Share profile to share it
In the Settings tab, team members with the right permissions can:
Edit the venue name, username, address, and description under General
Connect a Stripe account and view your account balance under Finance so you can receive payouts from ticket sales
Add or remove team members under Team
Transfer ownership of the venue to someone else (venue owners only)
Each team member manages the venue using their own Beatmatch account rather than sharing one login.
Tips for Venue Profiles
Use your venue’s official name so fans recognize it
Upload a clear photo or logo of your space
Describe what makes your space unique, like capacity, sound, and layout
Double-check your address so fans can find you
Add genres and tags that match the events you host
Connect Stripe before your first payout
Invite your team so staff can help manage the venue
